Building Service Employee of the Year Award

The Building Service Employee of the Year Award honors that building service contracting employee whose job performance, civic involvement and family role best exemplify qualities found in superior custodial employees. The Building Service Employee of the Year Award winner will be invited to receive the award at the convention’s opening general session.
The winner of the award will also receive a round-trip coach airfare to the convention and $1,000, a handsome plaque, and a medallion.
CRITERIA:
1. Competition is open to all current BSCAI Professional, Affiliate and Franchisor members.
2. Nominee must have been a regular custodian level employee in the building service contracting industry for at least five years, and an employee of a BSCAI professional, affiliate or franchisor member company for at least one year — either full-time or part-time. Supervisory personnel are not eligible. However, a working custodian, who may also perform foreman duties, is eligible.
3. Nominee should be competent in the custodial position, as well as outstanding with respect to civic activity, family role, work ethic, etc., beyond what is usually expected of a responsible citizen.
4. Nominations should be based upon activity during the 2017 calendar year.
5. The winner may not be self-nominated.
6. Limit one nomination per company.
7. The same company cannot win this award two years consecutively, but that company can receive and honorable mention certificate for a submitted employee.
